INTERNATIONAL COATINGS
(Industrial Coatings)
|
At International Coatings our philosophy is simple. Floors should be resin rich formulations
without the need of “sealer” coats for final protection. Floors should not be hard and brittle
but must be flexibilized with physical properties closer to that of concrete.
This is why our flooring systems offer the inherent advantages of epoxies – superior bond
strength in damp and dry conditions – no odor – contain no solvents or toxic byproducts –
excellent chemical resistance – thermal shock and impact resistance – can be applied in a
single step in any thickness, saving days of costly downtime – offers unsurpassed longevity. |

PLATING / METAL FINISHING
ICO Hi Guard – From the floor up, a bright new look was wanted for this state-of-the-art
plating facility, relocated after a fire. After concrete surface prep, including repairing
cracks
and holes, a coat of ICO Primer LV FC (low viscosity, fast cure) was applied. That
was
followed
by ICO Primer SL (slurry) at 1/8” thick, followed by two 15 mil top coats of
Royal Blue ICO Hi-Guard Coating. |

ICO Flake System – A base coat of ICO Floor Coating was applied first, followed by
a custom color combination of flakes broadcast to completely cover the epoxy.
That was followed by ICO Coat Clear, and finished with ICO Ure-Guard 60 for gloss
retention and UV protection. The joints were cut and filled with ICO epoxy caulk. |

PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE
ICO Floor 51 – The floor was primed first with 100% solids Epoxy ICO Primer LV,

ICO Floor Coating – After concrete surface prep, ICO Primer LV (low viscosity), a highly penetrating
material was applied, followed by ICO Floor Coating. ICO Floor Coating has good chemical resistance,
especially to Skydrol. A top coat of ICO Ure Guard 60 was used to provide UV protection, abrasion
resistance and a high gloss east-to-clean finish. |
